    NEWS

Many anti-LGBT campaigners have risen up against LGBT in Ghana since 2018. Many religious leaders have also added their voice thus Christians, Muslims and Traditional leaders with Individuals also adding their voice. In July 2020, Ashanti regional chief Imam vowed that all religious leaders will rise and speak against LGBT and we see it at play today.

Rev. Dr. Paul Frimpong-Manso (Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic President and General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God), during the opening of an Assemblies of God office at Assin Fosu said that “all those fighting for LGBT victims are not human right activists but gay activists”.

Rev. Dr. Paul states that “human right means living and serving God in the same state He created you with love and fear” so LGBT is never a human right but a human wrong .

He says those self-acclaimed LGBT human right activists should rather channel their energy to other issues like poor living conditions and treatment given to females who are accused of witchcraft in the various witch camps in Ghana, no schooling for girls in their menstrual period around river Pra and Offin.

He further advised that insults and physical assaults to/on LGBT victims must stop because it is not a way of showing love rather, Christians and all other individuals should use their godly attitudes to win these victims to Christ because Jesus died for sinners. So, people who engage in LGBT should not be treated as enemies but they should be told the truth that it is wrong. He concluded by declaring that himself and the church are ANTI-GAY ACTIVISTS!!!.

In a telecast, He stated the position of the Assemblies Of God Ghana.
