Women’s Ministry Day Celebration At LWC AG Kumasi

WOMEN’S MINISTRY DAY AT LWC AG -KUMASI

On the 14th of May 2023, the Women’s Ministry Day celebration took place at LWC-Kumasi, which coincided with Mother’s Day in some parts of the world. LWC celebrated their dedicated women and girls who have served God and humanity under the theme: Pursuing Holiness.

The ceremony began with the regular Sunday school service, where lessons were taught about the Prophetess Deborah from the Book of Judges, chapter 4. The various Sunday school classes discussed Deborah and praised her for her role as a prophetess, mother, judge, and submissive wife. All congregants, especially women, were encouraged to follow her example in balancing their careers, families, and spirituality.

Following the mission’s prayer, known as “The Hour that Changes the World,” the Women’s Ministry Choir delighted the worshippers with their melodious music, which captivated everyone.

As a show of appreciation to the women of the church, the Men’s Ministry delivered messages of solidarity and encouragement.

Each auxiliary of the Women’s Ministry, dressed in colorful uniforms, took turns educating the congregation about their respective groups, the symbolism behind their uniforms, and sang their anthems. The Young Singles (YS) were the first to present, followed by the J.O.Y. (Jesus, Others, and You) Fellowship, Women’s Ministry, and Missionettes.

The Missionettes, composed of young girls, stole the show with a powerful song performance of Kari Jobe & Cody’s hit song “The Blessing,” which was well-choreographed. This was followed by the Women’s Ministry’s entertaining drama on pursuing holiness.

The annual report of the Ministry was presented by Mrs. Justine Sitsofe Addy, who highlighted the group’s achievements and the challenges they faced in the past year. She urged the women to be more punctual and committed and encouraged those without groups to join one. Gifts were later presented to acknowledge deserving women in the church.

To culminate the event, the main speaker, Prophet Jonathan Appiah-Kubi, Head Pastor of Miracle Life AG, delivered a message on the theme “Pursuing Holiness.” He began his sermon with a powerful worship and prophecy session, filling the members with the Holy Spirit and preparing their hearts for the message. Drawing from 2 Chronicles 14:1-7, he urged the congregation to walk uprightly before God by practicing honesty in their work and all aspects of their lives. Furthermore, he admonished everyone to remove foreign altars and eliminate the “sacred stones” (secret sins) from their lives. His message was simple yet impactful: obedience to God and returning to the ways of God.

This year’s Women’s Ministry Day was a great success. All glory to God!
