Daughters Of Glorious Jesus, Adjust Plans To Honour Late Wofa KK At Glorious Praise 2024

UPDATE ON GLORIOUS PRAISE

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The past weeks have been very difficult for us, but our faith in God remains unwavering.

As many of us may already be aware, we were hit with the sad news of the demise of our beloved Kwabena Kwakye, affectionately called Wofa KK on the 14th of February, 2024.

Given that he is a close relative, who doubled as our patron, this unexpected news has seriously dealt us a heavy blow, as far as our preparations for Glorious Praise is concerned. After a series of deliberations, we have decided to make changes to the original plan.

Accra will host the first leg of the annual gospel concert on March 24, with Kumasi hosting the second leg on April 14. Given the invaluable role Wofa KK played in our ministry, we have decided to host both concerts in his honour.

Considering the fact that he grew in Kumasi and spent the larger chunk of his adult life here in Accra, having the shows in his honor in both locations is in order.

Also, the timing of the Easter edition in Kwahu, which was originally to be sandwiched between the Accra and Kumasi shows, coincides with a host of family and behind-the-scenes gatherings that require our full participation and inputs. Considering the amount of physical and spiritual preparations that go into our concerts, we would not be able to give the people of Kwahu the very best they deserve, and have thus, removed the Kwahu edition from the catalogue. We apologise unreservedly for the inconvenience and we hope to make it upto them in the not-too-distant future.

We are, through the concert, partnering with the Breast Care International to create awareness and raise funds to support some breast cancer patients, who can barely afford treatment.
