Ghanaian Drummer Bismark Opoku (Bisdrum) Joins Sabian Artist Family

Sabian is proud to welcome Ghanaian drummer Bismark Opoku—widely known as Bisdrum—to its global roster of endorsed artists. With nearly two decades of

drumming experience, Bisdrum has earned a reputation as one of Ghana’s most skilled and expressive percussionists.

Based in Ghana, Bisdrum began his journey in 2005, inspired by his biggest influence and mentor, Mr. Atta Opoku. Since then, he has performed with some of the country’s top gospel acts and live bands, including The Band of Enlightenment Reasons and Love and the Mensduah Band. His versatility and groove have made him a sought-after drummer for studio sessions, concerts, and major national events.

Career highlights include performing during the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II (Asantehene)and at Unity Oil’s Annual Thanksgiving Service, where his dynamic performance drew widespread acclaim.

Among his favourite Sabian cymbals are the HHX, Sabian Artisan, and B8 series, particularly the 14″ dual-lathed hi-hats with medium weight top and medium-heavy bottom—crafted from B20 alloy for a controlled, crisp response.

Bisdrum brings passion, precision, and deep musicality to every performance, and Sabian is excited to support his continued impact across Africa and beyond.
