On December 16, 2023, the esteemed Gospel artist, Lady Lucy, orchestrated a momentous private press launch, extending invitations to media houses, bloggers, and fellow musicians. This exclusive gathering served as a platform to unveil her plans for the upcoming year of 2024.
In a significant move, Lady Lucy shared two pivotal announcements during the event. Firstly, she declared a change in her stage name from “Lady Rev. Lucy” to the more straightforward “Lady Lucy.” This decision stemmed from her desire to overcome reservations held by certain religious groups regarding women taking on pastoral roles. By shedding the title, she aims to break down barriers and foster a stronger connection with her audience through her music ministry.
The second major revelation was the revival of her much-anticipated annual event, “Food For The King.” Following a two-year hiatus, the 5th Edition is slated for February 4, 2024, at The Church Of Pentecost in Kwadaso, Kumasi. Under the theme “RESTORATION,” the event emphasizes believers’ confidence in God’s ability to restore what was lost in previous years and instill hope for the new year.
The lineup for this year’s edition boasts an array of talented gospel ministers, including Quame Gyedu, Joshua Ahenkorah, Sandy Asare, Mabel Okyere, and more. Lady Lucy also disclosed her plan to record additional songs of her own composition during the concert.
Noteworthy is the event’s accessibility, as it is open to the public without any entry fees, creating an inclusive and worshipful atmosphere for all participants. With the promise of exceptional music and heartfelt praise, the 5th Edition of “Food For The King” is anticipated to be a remarkable and spiritually uplifting experience on February 4, 2024.
