Young Minister, to stand before the people of God to minister is a privilege. You must stand in absolute humility in awe of the Lord who chose you.
There are many others that He could have allowed but He chose you. Do not take it for granted.
Having had the privilege to stand before His redeemed for a while now – almost three decades, I still never feel able and comfortable with the altar.
I cry daily, that His will be done and not mine. I cry daily that I will not take the opportunity for granted. I tell him daily, passionately that I never get familiar with Him.
I even go further to tell Him, anything that He will do to make be Concious of the reality that it is all Him and nothing of Me.
Friends, I tell you there are many times He had answered that latter prayer … sometimes the response of the Father can be very uncomfortable. However whatever discomfort He will cause to make me solely dependent on Him is worth it.
