The year 2020 has been touted as an unpleasant year due to the global Covid 19 pandemic as well as many other difficult situations Ghana and the world has had to endure. The nation has rallied itself in unity to stay strong as we fight through the year to ensure the safety and well-being of our people. It is in this light that Kofi Owusu Peprah, the fast-rising gospel artiste believes the songs he has released this year are timely to inspire hope in our people since our help can only come from God.
His ground-breaking hit song “Matwen 20” is based on powerful scriptures like Psalm 91 and Isaiah 40:31 which says “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
His latest single “BIG GOD” also talks about the greatness of God in the daily lives of people while exalting the place of God above every situation people might encounter.
He therefore believes this is a time for all Ghanaians and people of faith especially to turn to God and seek his face in prayer as we fight to get our lives back to normal. And this must be done from a position of humility and support for the wellbeing of one another.
Being the son of a preacher and a firm believer in the value of humility in a person’s life, he also encourages all believers and people involved in the music ministry to continuously remain humble and circumspect in their utterances in these times to people who are already dealing with so much. They must minister words of life and hope to the many who look up to them as godly examples. Because God resists the proud but gives more grace to the humble. Thus, humility can take a person farther than the best human effort can. These are indeed perilous times but the #BigGod will come through for Ghana and the world. He’s never late!
