Laurel Ofori’s Express Worship -Sept22

Laurel Ofori organizes a monthly worship event dubbed Express Worship, which comes off every Last Sunday of the month and this months event comes off on 25th September 2022, at 5:00pm at ICGC Hill City Comm. 18 Block Factory.

Who is Laurel?

She is a Ghanaian contemporary gospel worshipper, song writer, a loving wife to an amazing husband and mother to her family. Her love for God and passion for gospel music gives her an undying zeal to reach out to all and loving many

What does she do besides music as a gospel artiste?

Laurel Ofori works with Buildmate Building Products Company Ltd, in the Import department

What year did this event start and how did it begin?

The first edition was in July 2022. Laurel Ofori shared with CBCInc Hypes that Express Worship started when she thought of just bringing family and friends from other denominations together as one body to create an atmosphere of worship and fellowship without barriers, glorifying God.

What happened that made you think of starting a music event? Any inspiration?

Laurel’s Inspiration came from her gift to sing and from Gospel musicians she saw ministering growing up.

Do you have singles or albums? How many?

Laurel Ofori does not have an album at the moment but she has some works in the pipeline and God willing some singles will be released before the end of the Year. We are looking forward to this.

Is there anyone who you look up to in ministry? Do you have any gospel artiste mentors past or present?

Yes. God, Cece Winans, Pastor Isaiah Fosu Kwakye Jnr” was Laurel’s answer to those she looks up to in ministry. She also mentioned Pastor Reindorf Owusu Bempah and Kobby Mantey as her mentors

Who will you like to do a collaboration with if given the opportunity?

If given the opportunity, a collaboration with Cece Winans, Pastor Isaiah Fosu Kwakye Jnr, Rev Mary Ghansah will be a dream come true.

How has been the support been from churches, media, gospel industry, the music industry, the bloggers, in Ghana?

So far so good. They have been great. They are constantly putting me on programs, and calling me for interviews. I can only say It’s been Great and I’m so grateful

What in your opinion is going well with the gospel music industry in and out of Ghana?

Everybody is doing great and pushing their best to put Jesus out there in their music and the support from one another is very encouraging

What, in your opinion, do you wish to see changed or happen in the gospel music industry?

For me we should keep on loving and supporting each other, considering the fact that it is all to build one kingdom and to the Glory of our Lord

Who has been your major support system all these years as a gospel artiste?

I would say God, and when it comes to man, I am happy to mention family, Church, some friends and most especially my husband since I met him

Who are the guests for this event?

Bless Leslie and Lady Tel will be Laurel’s guests for this edition of Express Worship.
