Patrick Masoperh, is set to release two new singles for Easter on 1st April 2022, “Mogya Abuoden (Precious Blood)” and “Passover Lamb”. He features the sensational and versatile Naana Asiedu of Team Eternity and REBirth Ghana fame on “Mogya Abuoden”
In order to put this surprise write up together, our CEO, Clement Afreh, reached out to a few of the people on the team to ask them about their memorable experiences while working with Patrick Masoperh on this project. This is what they had to say.

The two songs Mr. Patrick recorded are beautiful!!. We had a nice time, from praying to socializing, to finally starting the recording. He is actually very focused, God fearing, cheerful and fun to work with. He makes us understand that we need to start everything with God.So when we haven’t prayed, he quickly alerts us to pray before we continue. This could even be in the middle of the rehearsal.
My experience at rehearsals has always been calm and refreshing. The words that he gets by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit for his songs, are just so inspiring. I have been on his project for a few years, I have realized that every song he releases is a blessing to every generation. I pray that God blesses him to continue inspiring us to do more. He should keep blessing him with the resources he needs for his recordings, because I believe there is more where that came from.
About the team, I have built a strong relationship with them since I started recording with Mr. Patrick. At first, I was a bit shy and thought about how I would blend in, but the team proved me wrong and held my hand. The vibe has always been lit since then. Even when we go a month or two away, we always have a way of rebinding .Everyone is friendly and welcoming. We are together in everything. No one really, sees themselves above the other.
Mr. Patrick and I have a great relationship. He calls me “banku star”. hahaha! This was because of an instance where I opted for banku before my recording with him. He was amazed at how I was able to do this recording even better, so he nicknamed me “banku star” but this is just between us. shhhhhh….
I always tell him that he is not growing old, and I think this is a result of God’s grace over his life. God bless you Mr. Patrick Masoperh. May He continue to bless you with strength for this beautiful journey. We love you deeply.

It was a great opportunity to rekindle my passion for background singing. I hadn’t done a lot of it in a while especially studio work and so it was great challenge.
The songs are brilliant and very contemporary style. I enjoyed working with new singers and musicians.
Uncle Patrick is very kind but firm and know exactly what he wants. That helps to keep the focus clear and the work progressive.
As always, the video session was grueling. Several takes can be tiring. However the vibe in the room was fun and so we powered through.
Uncle Patrick is a joy to be with. He teases you, buys lunch for you, makes us laugh and he encourages you on the side to be a better Christian.
God bless you Uncle Patrick.

The song is about the blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Christ and the power we have obtained through His sacrifice to live for Him.
He shared the song with me about 2 years ago during the COVID times when we were at home but unfortunately I was unavailable that year. So I honestly thought it had already be recorded. But he got back to me and reminded me. And that for me, was humbling because he could have gotten someone else to sing on the song in all of that time. But I believe he was convinced of who he wanted to sing with him on the song.
I got the opportunity to listen to the other song he is going to release and it is really beautiful. He is such a great song writer and has a very unique voice. I loved working with him because he has this excellence that he attaches to what he does.
I was curious of his family support and I was so blessed to know that his wife is his number one supporter, number one fan. She urges him on. This is a beautiful thing to know and share
The BVs were amazing and the band, awesome. This song is going to be a blessing to the Body of Christ. We don’t sing about His love enough. Though it is going to be released around the time for the Easter celebrations, I don’t think this song is just Easter. For the believer, every time is a good time to celebrate the sacrifice of Christ. That’s the reason why we are here. That is the central theme of the gospel. That is the good news. That God loved us and gave Himself up for us. This is a song for every time of the year.
My Pastor always says that what we’ve been saved for is so much more than what we’ve been saved from. We are empowered to live above sin and live for God. He that is justified is dead to sin. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We are holy. We are uncommon people. We are set apart and that is really the message of this song.

Uncle P as I call him, is family; husband to my mother’s younger sister, Abla Masoperh. One thing about his ministry that stands out for me is how seriously he took his response to God’s call to begin his music ministry after so many years of waiting. Don’t let his looks fool you! This man doesn’t look his age haha.
I feel very privileged to have been pulled along to join this new Easter project. It was so much fun and yet very insightful. I love the way he related with all the team players of this project. So humble and easy to share ideas with.
Another thing that stood out for me, especially from this project is how specific he is about conveying the messages in his songs. The exact same way he has been led to by God. The Passover lamb song for example could have easily been mainly a solo with a few BVs, but he was insistent on having it done the way he heard it.
I love both of these songs very much and the words they carry are such jewels. Strong faith declarations and confessions of the power of the blood of the lamb in the life of a believer and even for the not yet saved.
I am really excited about the release and I’m earnestly looking forward to it.
Watch this piece from Uncle PMaso as we anticipate his new singles. Don’t forget to subscribe.
Lyrics to both songs
PASSOVER LAMB
It’s Passover nite
And I’m your Passover lamb
Take my broken body
So you’ll never be broken again
Drink my blood
It’s your mark of redemption
I paid the price
I’m your Passover Lamb
