Praise Achievement Awards 22: The Maiden Edition: A Great Success

The maiden edition of the Praise Achievement Awards 22, a Christian Music Awards, established to recognize exceptional achievements in ministry and the gospel music industry. Praise Achievement Awards is aimed at celebrating gospel musicians and industry players who have excelled in the year under review. Winners for the maiden edition of the Praise Achievement Awards 2022 have been announced.

The winners were announced in a special ceremony held at the Oil Dome, Kaneshie, Accra on Sunday, December 18, 2022. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Praise Achievement Awards, Mr. Dennis Anderson said his organizers and outfit played a major role to make this a historic event a success all hands were on board.

The maiden edition of the Praise Achievement Awards 22 was a great success. This has made a positive statement to all the other music awards event in Ghana and internationally. 

The Stage

The stage was beautifully set with a runway that extended into the audience. It was decorated with lights and smoke puffers.

The Team On The Ground

Prior to the commencement of the event, the team were working round the clock to sort out all last minute details.

The Ushers and protocol were doing a yo-man’s job leading the audience at their right sitting place.

The patrons began trickling in at the advertised time but as usual, most of the audience were late and hence the event had to be delayed for about 2 hours. The ground floor and first floor were filled up.

Artistes In Attendance

Many dignitaries were in attendance and we may fail to mention all of them in this write up of we start.

MCs On The Night

The event was hosted by Fifi Folson, Jeremie Van-Garshong, Irene Logan, Timothy Bentum, Kwabby, and .

Award Winners

MOG picked the penultimate ARTISTE OF THE YEAR award on the night. This was a surprise to all seeing that Joe Mettle has become a favourite owing to the fact that he had picked up 4 awards prior. Also picking up awards on the night were Diana Hamilton, Ohemaa Mercy, Scott Evans, Efe Grace, Kofi Owusu Peprah among many others.

The night saw Nii Addo, Dr Fletcher Narh and Millicent Yankey picking up awards from the diaspora category.  And then Sonnie Badu and Sinach were given honorary awards for their impact in music globally. 

Performances

There performances on the night were amazing. Gracing the stage were, Harmonious Chorale, Soul Winners, Bethel Revival Choir, Scott Evans, Kingzkid, Nii Addo, Millicent Yankey, Efe Grace, Kofi Karikari, Cwesi Oteng, Pastor Edwin Dadson, Preye Odede, Diana Hamilton, Ohemaa Mercy, MOG, Joe Mettle, Akesse Brempong, Prospa Ochimana who was joined by Sonnie Badu to do one his songs, and finally Sinach to crown it all on the night.
