Vodafone Ghana Music Awards artiste of the Year Diana Hamilton is set to ignite the two major cities in Ghana with her annual gospel music concert dubbed The Awake Experience With Diana Hamilton.
This year’s event has received a major corporate boost from beverage giants Kasapreko Company Ltd producers of Awake Mineral water. The gospel diva, who is currently the brands ambassador for Awake has renamed her event “The Awake Experience”. The event took a break due to Covid restrictions that seem to have generated a dire hunger for patrons who were used to the eclectic music performance from Diana each year since the event was introduced to Ghanaian audience in 2019.
The event slated for the Perez Dome in Accra on Sunday 13th February 2022 and Church of Pentecost Bantama on Sunday 20th February 2022 will see performances from some of Ghana’s celebrated gospel high hitters and new entrants. The Accra edition will host The Daughter of Glorious Jesus, KODA, Nana Adwoa and Efe Grace, Ella Duncan Williams and Kyei Mensah.
“We have worked tirelessly to ensure that patrons receive an unforgettable experience for this year’s editions”, Mr. Charles Koranteng CEO of 1615 media told GH Gospel News. He also indicated that the change in venue from ICGC Calvary Temple to the Perez Dome indicated the growth achieved over the years since the event debuted in Ghana.

The Kumasi edition welcomes Joe Mettle, Becky Bonnie, Kofi Peprah and Piesie Esther. We wait the see if other will grace the stage in Kumasi. Diana Hamilton expressed her delight in anticipation of what God will do at the two events.

The first edition of the Experience was held in London at the Church of Pentecost in Dagenham on 31st May 2014 with a surprise appearance by Cwesi Oteng, however it has been in hiatus for fans in London since 2018. 1615 media and events, road managers for Diana Hamilton have hinted a possible return to London this year but a date has not been announced.
