About Yani Music

Yani’s upbringing as the fourth sibling among five provided him the privilege of being enveloped by exceptionally talented kin, who ushered him into the realm of melodies from an early age. His elder sister, renowned for her enthralling vocal prowess, played an instrumental role in kindling Yani’s own odyssey in the realm of melodies.

Yani’s affinity for vocal expression burgeoned when he actively engaged in the Sunday School choir at his local church. Grasping each opportunity to showcase his vocal gifts, he swiftly caught the discerning eye of his mentors, emerging as the preferred performer for any melodic occasion. Despite recognizing his innate aptitude, the thought of pursuing music as a vocation hadn’t yet crossed Yani’s mind.

At the tender age of 13, Yani joined the Junior Choir of St. Mark Methodist Church in Darkuman, where he took the lead as a Tenor and concurrently served as the choir’s secretary for six years. Amid this period, a senior church member approached Yani, deeply impressed by his captivating deliveries, and mooted the inception of an Acappella ensemble—a development that further expanded Yani’s sonic horizons.

Carrying his ardor for music into his secondary school years, Yani affiliated himself with yet another Acappella group, ensuring that harmonious expressions continued to be an inseparable part of his life even when distanced from his familial abode. Enriched by diverse musical genres through his camaraderie with schoolmates, Yani fostered an avid interest in Contemporary, R&B, Reggae, and Rap music, thereby broadening his artistic influences.
