Kofi Owusu Peprah Adjudged The Discovery of the year

Kofi Owusu Peprah, the son and young prodigy of Rev George Owusu Mensah aka ROPs of Matwen Awurade anim fame, was adjudged the Discovery of the year in the maiden edition of the Praise Achievement Awards.

The maiden edition of the Praise Achievement Awards took place at the Oil Dome, Royal House Chapel on the December 18, 2022. This event is to honor African Gospel Ministers both in and outside Africa.

The event was attended by well-known gospel music icons, media representatives, and sponsors, such as Stella Aba Seal, Diana Hopeson, Rev Dr Thomas Yawson, Amy Newman, Hannah Marfo, Sonnie Badu, Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Prospa Ochimana, Preye Odede, Diana Hamilton, Joe Mettle, Ohemaa Mercy, MOG, Piesie Esther, Obaapa Christy, Empress Gifty, Abena Serwaa Ophelia, Cwesi Oteng, Kofi Karikari, Efe Grace, Perez Muzik, Soul Winners, Bethel Revival Choir, Harmonious Choral, Heavenly Jewels, Precious of Alpha Gospel, Jullie Kanz of Gospelspotlightgh , Zhikay of Gospel2me, Clement Afreh of CBCInc_Hypes, among others.

Kofi Owusu Peprah started out as an instrumentalist playing the bass guitar but discovered his singing talent along the way.  By the grace and mercy of God, he is now a Gospel artiste in his own right. He has an album to his credit called THE FATHER’S GIFT.

The award category was announced and presented by Dr Fletcher Narh. He dedicated this special award to his biological father and mentor, Rev George Owusu Mensah who is the original composer of MATWEN. 

Kofi Owusu Peprah hosted his maiden event dubbed The Father’s Gift at the National Theatre in Accra. The attendance was mind blowing especially that it was his first event and it was a ticketed event. This was a great feat by the artiste and his management.

The Kumasi Edition of the event was also ticketed and also registered a good attendance.

The event was very well organized and has made a statement to the Gospel music circles, globally.
