Ohemaa Mercy’s Ote Me Mu ft MOGMusic Won Best Gospel Song Of The Year
Ohemaa Mercy the Ote Me Mu crooner won BEST GOSPEL SONG OF THE YEAR in the 23rd edition of the Vodaphone Ghana Music Awards.
Ohemaa Mercy was in a stiff competition with Joyce Blessing, Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton, Celestine Donkor, Bethel Revival Choir, Akesse Brempong, Empress Gifty, Scott Evans and Obaapa Christy. This is a comeback worth celebrating after several years of being away from the VGMAs. Indeed this is one for the history books.
“Ote Me Mu” also won the best gospel song at the 2022 edition of 3 Music Awards this year. With over 800K views on YouTube, it is evident this song has impacted lives globally and it’s still is.
Many have not stopped talking about her electrifying performance of the winning song with MOGmusic on the night. It was definitely one of the favourites live performances at this edition of the VGMAs. Not forgetting MOGmusic’s improvised a rap which fit so well into the song before his bridge.
The band led by the maestro bassist Affreh Jnr gave a mind blowing perspective to the song we have all come to love, with Affreh Jnr killing it on the bass as usual. This same band was applauded for holding down the 3 Music Awards Live performances.
