Ghanaian gospel artist Rev. Evan David Edem Hukporti, known in showbiz as Rev. Evan David, has unveiled his debut single, ‘You Change Not,’ a prelude to what promises to be a significant presence in the gospel music realm with his upcoming EL Emeth Album.
The song, released on September 8, 2023, carries a profound message of hope amidst life’s uncertainties and letdowns. Rev. Evan David shared his inspiration for the track, stating, “When let down by people, no matter what we face in life, or whatever storms may come our way, Jehovah El Emeth, ‘The Faithful God’ (Ps 31:5), will always be faithful and true to us, for He does not change (Malachi 3:6).”
As the debut single gains traction, it sets the stage for the much-anticipated release of his full-length album, ‘El Emeth – Faithful God,’ scheduled for 2024.
Rev. Evan David is not only a gospel artist but also a passionate and anointed minister, bringing revival and testimonies of healing and deliverance through his worship lifestyle and songs. His musical journey started early in life, inspired by gospel music, particularly heart-soothing worship songs.
Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the Methodist University College, Ghana, and a Degree in Theology from the Vision International University College, California, USA, Rev. Evan David has a rich educational background. His years of service as the Pastor-in-Charge of the Music Department at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu – Accra, have shaped his musical skills, and he currently serves as an Associate Pastor of the Perez Dome, with responsibilities including serving as the Music Minister under Senior Pastor Archbishop Charles Agyinasare.
Rev. Evan David’s extensive experience as a worship pastor has allowed him to minister on numerous platforms across Ghana, sharing stages with high-profile personalities and esteemed gospel artists such as Don Moen, Sonnie Badu, Diana Hamilton, Joe Mettle, and many more.
‘You Change Not’ stands as a testament to Rev. Evan David’s commitment to spreading a message of unwavering faith, and as fans eagerly await the EL Emeth Album, his journey promises to leave an indelible mark in the gospel music landscape.
